FAQ
Q: How many Funhouse Remakes will be made?
A: The classic edition (CE) will be based on customer demand, and the Limited Edition (LE) is fixed at 750 games.
Q: What are the main differences between the Classic and the Limited Editions?
A: The most significant difference is the Brian Allen/Flyland artwork – Cabinet, Translite, Playfield, Speaker Panel, Plastics, etc are really stunning and make the most striking difference between the models. The other major feature included in the LE but optional for the CE is the 2.0 Game Code which is a second advanced game that you can choose between the original ruleset of the game, and the new game with new rules, graphics, callouts, etc. The other features included in the LE are Apron RGB Lightshow, Premium Sound System, Shaker Motor, Magic Glass, Rudy Eye Lightshow, Backglass Title lights, Engraved FH Watch, Numbered Plaque, Longer Warranty, and of course a different price. Addionally an LE topper will be available at a later date.
Q: What is the warranty on the game?
A: The Warranty on the game covers Electronics and non-wear Mechanical and other components (Parts). For European distributors, feel free to reach to us for spare parts and parts under warranty. Warranty terms need to follow the terms by law in every country.
Q: Where are these games being manufactured?
A: They are being designed/produced by Pedretti Gaming, and being assembled/manufactured by Euro Pinball Corp both companies based in Italy. Games are on the assembly lines right now and are supposed to start shipping to final end customers soon ( early June)
Q: Are there any Accessories that are optional to purchase for the Classic Edition?
A: At this time there are 3 items that are available for the classic edition: 1) The 2.0 Game Code, 2) Shaker Motor, and 3) Rudy’s Nightmare Topper. There may be additional features which will be available for purchase to upgrade the CE, but at this time that is currently what is available.
Q: Are the Electronics Original Type Electronics
A: No, FHR uses FAST Pinball game platform system components, which provides the game control and electronics, and incorporates ‚modern‘ architecture. The FAST Platform has been available for several years, and is used in several games from other companies, DIY, and functions similarly to the major pinball manufacturers closed game electronics platforms.
Q: What about Replacement parts and out of Warranty Parts?
A: Both Planetary Pinball (US, Intl), and Pedretti Gaming (Italy) will have most parts for this game available for purchase. Many parts are already available on the Planetary Pinball website www.planetarypinball.com store today. More will be added over time, Pedretti is doing the same at his webshop.
Q: What is 1.0 Original/1.5 Enhanced/2.0 Game?
A: There are basically two games in one game on the Funhouse Remake. The original (1.0) game which emulates the original Funhouse game code and the new game similar to the Rudy’s Nightmare Game Kit which is called the 2.0 game. In addition to the original game 1.0 code there are enhancements that can be enabled/disabled from the Service Menu, which is called 1.5 – primarily allowing Enhanced Display Graphics (vs original style LED display graphics), RGB GI Light Shows, and Auto Launch. Auto Launch can be enabled/disabled for the 1.0/1.5 game which basically acts as a ball save.
Q: Are the original sounds being used the Original Game?
A: For the FHR the original game code is being emulated as are the original sounds and callouts which provides a richer set of callouts and more sounds overall than on the Rudy Nightmare kit.
Q: What about Deposits, with all of the concerns how do I know my deposit is safe?
A: We recommend that you purchase a game from a reputable company first one being an authorized dealer for Pedretti Gaming, and in the US, and then second that has a policy on refunds so you know exactly the level of protection you have. The most attractive is a fully refundable deposit, that within a period of time or a specific window that customers can receive their deposit back.
Q: Who is Pedretti Gaming?
A: Pedretti Gaming is manufacturing company in Northern Italy which started producing and selling arcade games & Jukeboxes in 1976. For last 10 years they have worked with the most important pinball companies to develop our own parts as well as more recently developed and produced Remake Game Kits. They also manage the assembly of pinball machines thru Euro Pinball Corp. We are at www.pinballremakes.com – they are a sublicensee of Planetary Pinball Supply, Inc. who is the licensee for Williams and Bally pinball machine parts, merchandise, and games.
Q: Who is Planetary Pinball?
A: Planetary Pinball Supply (PPS) is the exclusive Licensee for WMS/BLY games, parts, and merchandise. We manufacture, sell, and distribute Genuine WMS/BLY parts and merchandise as well as supply OEMs with quality parts. In addition, we work with many pinball companies under our license to create evolved pinball game remakes and game extension kits of classic pinball machines. PPS was started in 2010 and is headquartered in Sparks/Reno, Nevada and you can find us at www.planetarypinball.com
Q: Are there differences between the Funhouse Remake 2.0 Code and the code from Rudy’s Nightmare Game Kit?
A: For release there are not really any rule changes for the game. It’s always a possibility to add additional rules or modes to a game, but at this time, there is no information about future changes.
Q: Why are there two toppers, what can go where?
A: There are two toppers for this remake, one optional for the Classic Edition, which is the game molded Topper that was sold as an addition to the Rudy’s Nightmare Kit as well. The design of this topper is most fitting for the Original Artwork on the Classic Edition. There is also a LE Topper that will ONLY work on the LE (not the CE). The CE topper is available for order now and the LE topper will be available at a future time and at an additional cost.
Q: Where do I find Authorized dealers for this Remake?
A: You can find current Distributors for Funhouse Remake here https://www.europinball.net/distributors/ in addition, distributors may have approved sub-dealers, and those will be located on the distributor’s websites as well. RS-Pinball is a authoriszed Distributor for Pedretti Gaming
Q: With assembly being done in Europe by Euro Pinball Corp for Pedretti – does the game use WMS/BLY parts? use Metric fasteners?
A: Most of the major mechanisms on the game are Genuine WMS parts – either made from WMS blueprints supplied to Pedretti by PPS -or- parts and assemblies supplied and shipped to Pedretti. For example, major mechanisms like: Rudy Head, Flipper, Kicker, Ball Lock, Trap Door, Diverter, Autolaunch, Ball Gate, are WMS mechanisms. Note that in some cases a variation (usually newer WMS design) may be used, but a large portion of core game mechanisms are WMS. In addition the FHR primarily uses Imperial Fasteners (to simplify – Inches, and Sizes of Fasteners #6, #10, etc), and when appropriate the same fasteners used on the original game. Occasionally there will be a part or situation where metric fasteners are involved usually on things purchased as a new assembly like the display, etc. Pedretti and PPS supply parts to Euro Pinball Corp to assemble/manufacture the games, so the supply of parts and assembly instructions are driven by Pedretti as the owner of the Funhouse Remake project.
